Can this welding head be used with a 6kW laser?
The current ND24 model is rated for up to 3000W. For 4kW–6kW applications, we offer a heavy-duty version with enhanced cooling and larger aperture-please contact us for specifications.
Is it suitable for handheld laser welding machines?
No. This is an industrial-grade fixed-mount welding head designed for robotic or gantry integration. For handheld use, please refer to our Handheld Laser Welding Heads series.
What's the difference between this and a laser cutting head?
Welding heads use longer focal lengths (e.g., 200mm vs. 125mm) to create larger, softer spots for melt pool control, while cutting heads focus to a tiny point for vaporization. They are not interchangeable.
Do you provide CAD drawings or STEP files for integration?
Yes-upon request, we provide 3D model files (STEP/IGES) and mounting dimension diagrams to assist your mechanical design team.
How often should the protective window be replaced?
