Proportional valve is a new type of hydraulic control device. On ordinary pressure valves, flow valves and directional valves, the proportional electromagnet is used to replace the original control part, and the pressure, flow or direction of the oil flow can be remotely controlled continuously and proportionally according to the input electrical signal. Proportional valves generally have pressure compensation performance, and the output pressure and flow can not be affected by load changes.
With the development of hydraulic transmission and hydraulic servo systems, some hydraulic systems that require continuous control of pressure, flow and direction, but do not require high control precision appear in production practice. Because ordinary hydraulic components cannot meet certain servo requirements, and the use of electro-hydraulic servo valves is too wasteful due to low control accuracy requirements, so in recent years, there has been a gap between ordinary hydraulic components (switch control) and servo valves ( continuous control) between proportional control valves.
The electro-hydraulic proportional control valve (proportional valve for short) is essentially a cheap electro-hydraulic control valve with good anti-pollution performance. The development of proportional valves has gone through two paths. One is to replace the manual adjustment input mechanism of traditional hydraulic valves with proportional electromagnets. On the basis of traditional hydraulic valves: various proportional direction, pressure and flow valves have been developed; Manufacturers of electro-hydraulic servo valves developed on the basis of electro-hydraulic servo valves and reduced the design and manufacturing precision.
